Give the gift of time—find an opportunity today.
Volunteers are an integral part of our organization and play an invaluable role in the opportunities and services we are able to provide our clients and their families.
Tesh has volunteer opportunities that range from office help, assisting with events and fundraisers, or helping with grounds, building, and vehicle fleet maintenance.
Bringyour business to Tesh!
Organize a corporate, school or community volunteer group to complete a maintenance volunteer project at Tesh!
Whatever you choose to do, make it an annual event, a day when you donate time rather than money to show your community how much you care.

Office volunteers help with answering and directing phone calls as filing and billing. We are in need of a weekly volunteer 2-4 days a week for 3 hours each day. This activity is perfect for high school students, retirees, or individuals with flexible work hours. Tasks may include creating reports in Word and Excel, answering and directing phone calls, assisting with special events, written correspondences, filing, and billing. Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a multi-faceted environment are a necessity.
With 18,000 sf of building and another 3 acres of grounds, we have plenty of maintenance projects! If you want to help but can’t commit to a weekly schedule, this is perfect for you.
From picking up a paintbrush, to landscaping, assisting with building projects and preparing the grounds for our busy summer camp season, volunteers are a large asset to our Maintenance Team and help Tesh continue to provide year-round programs in a safe environment.
We also have 14 vehicles in our service fleet ranging from small economy cars to a large van that we use to transport clients. We need help washing, waxing, and detailing these vehicles.
Just as important as long-term volunteers are those supporters who donate their time during annual events which raise funds for programs and services.
Tesh holds three special events each year: the Tesh Fest Benefit Dinner and Auction typically in March each year, however, this event was moved to September 10, 2021, due to COVID closures; Pathways to Independence Luncheon will be November 2, 2021; and the annual Hangover Handicap Fun Run held January 1, 2022. Various volunteer opportunities are available for all three events, and throughout the year, in preparation.
All volunteers working in the building or around clients must pass a series of background checks and fingerprint clearance. Due to limited funding, these checks are at the volunteer's expense.
