Dear Project SEARCH families, friends and partners,
Happy New Year! We have been very busy this week at Project SEARCH. The student interns have been involved in cross-training for their new rotations, participating in mock interviews, and updating their resumes and reference list.
Our Community Outing Day was also a huge success. Thank you Jessica Finch (Job Developer with Abilty Works) for putting this together. The student interns have 1st hand knowledge of what several businesses are looking for in their employees and how to apply to these businesses.
Upcoming Events
Jan. 9: Start of 2nd Rotation
Jan. 11: Parent Information Night regarding Tools for Life Conference 4 PM-5 PM in the Project SEARCH classroom
Jan. 16: No Progam (Martin Luther King, Jr Holiday)
Jan. 25: Meet the Employer at Department of Labor 3:00-4:30 (Student interns need to arrange for transportation home)
Jan. 27: No Program (Project SEARCH Administrative Meeting 8AM in PS Classroom)
As you can see we have a busy month ahead. This semester has a job seeking focus. If you have any job leads for our interns please contact me with that information.
